Winnie came to Britain after being awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Vivian Langrish, Gordon Green, Philip Fowke, and Christopher Elton. During her studies at the Academy she was awarded numerous prizes as a soloist and for chamber music.
She has been a winner of the Dudley National Competition and the Hong Kong Young Musician of the Year Award, and has performed as concerto soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Croydon Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Da Camera and Watford and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has given several broadcasts for radio and television in her native Hong Kong, and has performed as a soloist at the Watford Colosseum, South Bank, Fairfield Halls, and the Wigmore hall. Recently she has performed a few major concertos which includes the Emperor by Beethoven, Shostakovitch as well as the Rhapsody in Blue in her local town of Watford.
