Henry Lindsay is in his first year at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) where he won a scholarship to study tuba under Patrick Harrild. He has also been awarded second study at RAM to study voice under Alex Ashworth. He was a student at the Purcell School of Music and attended Junior RAM where he won the Brass Prize both times entered, Ruth Railton Chamber Music Prize (2007), and winner of 2008 Junior RAM concerto competition.
His performance experiences include; solo and chamber music at Wigmore Hall, solo at St Martin-in-the Field, BBC Young Musician of the year Brass Finals, performing on BBC 2 television, NYO (Joint-Principal Tuba) playing in major concert halls all around UK, Albert Hall (live on BBC Proms), Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Sage, Barbican, and Glastonbury Festival!.
As well as playing tuba, Henry is an accomplished singer and has given Lieder recitals at the Purcell School and performed Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas.
