Ellie was a foundation scholar at the Royal College of Music under Yossi Zivoni, from where she graduated in 2005 with First Class Honours.

As a soloist, she has performed recitals in venues across the UK, most recently at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and concertos with orchestras including the Westminster Philharmonic, Amadeus Orchestra, Hertfordshire Philharmonic, JRAM Symphony Orchestra and the National Children's Chamber Orchestra.

Ellie is looking forward to many recitals in 2008/2009 across the UK  due to being awarded a place on the prestigious Countess of Munster Recital Scheme for their next season.
In 2001, Ellie was appointed leader of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, after having been a member for five years, and during her undergraduate at the RCM led many of the orchestras and ensembles. She is now a very busy freelance violinist in London, playing with many of the major symphony and chamber orchestras including the LSO, LPO, LCO, and European Camerata as well as guest leading smaller local orchestras.

In 2005 she won the 'Emily English Scholarship' awarded by the Musicians Benevolent Fund to the most outstanding violinist heard at audition.

She has recently completed her Advanced Postgraduate Diploma from the RCM, studying under Yossi Zivoni, as an Associated Board Scholar which included 5 months study under Helmut Zehetmeir at the Mozarteum, Salzburg. This was all made possible with generous sponsorship from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and from the Philharmonia Martin Musical Award scheme.  Aside from her recitals, forthcoming engagements include Tchaikovsky Concerto in Uttlesford, Petersfield and Todmorden, Mendelssohn Concerto in Watford, and Vaughn Williams' Lark Ascending at St. John's Waterloo and at the Barbican Hall.
